We’ve already documented our love for all things Daft Punk and Saint Laurent in our “Digital Love” story with Milla Jovovich, so we were overjoyed last night to see the two collaborate again—this time on a pair of custom suits. Worn at the launch of Jay-Z’s new music streaming service called Tidal, the Hedi Slimane-designed two-pieces featured black velvet jackets with lines of dazzling silver and gold crystals and black waxed jeans—not to mention the electronic duo’s signature helmets and gloves. No stranger to working together, the suits are the next step chapter in an on-going creative partnership between the musicians and Slimane, who collaborated on the art for their album Random Access Memories.

“Hedi is a longtime friend of ours,” said Daft Punk to CR and Sky Ferreira just before the record was released . “We share a lot of the same tastes in art and music. There was no specific brief for the album; we just played him the music. We generally prefer the music to do the talking.”
