Daft Punk and Jarvis Cocker have contributed to a Stanley Kubrick exhibition

Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter and Jarvis Cocker are among the artists who have contributed to a new exhibition celebrating the life of film icon Stanley Kubrick.

The exhibition, called Daydreaming With Stanley Kubrick, is set to open at London's Somerset House next month, and sees a host of contemporary artists giving their own take on the work of the man responsible for creating films such as A Clockwork Orange, The Shining and Full Metal Jacket.

Among the artists taking part are Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, who have created a new audio piece called 'Requiem for 114 Radios', featuring the vocals of Jarvis Cocker.

Thomas Bangalter's contribution to the show has also been confirmed, but it isn't clear in what capacity he will be involved.

A trailer for the exhibition also seems in keeping with its theme, offering warped perspectives on some of Kubrick's most iconic films including 2001: A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange.

The exhibition has the backing of both Kubrick's widow Christiane and Warner Bros studios, and runs from July 6 until August 24.
