DAFT PUNK TAPPED TO WORK ON STANLEY KUBRICK EXHIBITION

Publié par daftworld sur 17 Juin 2016, 14:50pm

A new exhibition to honor the legendary director Stanley Kubrick is set to open in London this summer, and Daft Punk have been tapped to aid with the tribute.

The exhibition is called 'Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick' and will feature new or existing work inspired by the director, who came to prominence after directing A Clockwork Orange and 2001: A Space Odyssey among other iconic films.

Various artists will contribute to the new installation, including Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, Jarvis Cocker, Beth Orton and Anish Kapoor. Their supplied works will be a response "to a film, scene, character or theme from the Kubrick archives, or even the man himself.”

Any fan of Daft Punk will know how much they have been inspired by Kubrick's work. Their sci-fi motif seems to be a reflection of bits of the late director's vision.

Look for 'Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick' to be held at Somerset House in London and run from July 6 to August 24. Find out more, including ticket information, here.
