Legendary Pictures Mass Effect film panel

Some sources are suggesting Legendary Pictures have recruited Daft Punk to provide the soundtrack to the recently announced Mass Effect movie.

Legendary Pictures announced at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con that they had obtained the rights to turn the popular video game into a movie.

They asked people to send them questions via Twitter but didn’t have time to give responses. They’ve now published their responses to questions including this one:

Q:  Would you consider Daft Punk to do the soundtrack?

A:  We love Daft Punk, but it’s too early to say who will produce the soundtrack.

Q: Envisageriez-vous le groupe Daft Punk pour composer la BO du film ?

A: Nous aimons beaucoup Daft Punk, mais il est beaucoup trop tôt pour dire qui produira la bande originale du film.

That seems to be all there is. It’s not much to go on, and Legendary will benefit from the publicity even if it’s not true so we don’t expect them to deny it too quickly.
